PNS ORGANIZES INFECTION CONTROL WEEK 2022 CELEBRATION
Private Nursing Service taken the opportunity to celebrate Infection Control week in October 2022 with Home Health care and Community Medical Equipment Department. All the staff cheerfully participated and was able to convey the theme of Infection control week 2022. This year the theme is “Future is infection prevention: Spread Prevention not Infection”.
Throughout the week various activities were conducted, such as Inauguration Program with Crossword puzzle, Educational activities, Sherlock Holmes quiz, Khahoot quiz and Validation program with Video presentations by our outsourcing agency partners.
International Infection Prevention Week (IIPW), established in 1986, is an annual event that aims to raise awareness on infection prevention. The annual event is aimed at educating the people about the importance of Infection control practices and reinforcing related knowledge and protocols. The campaign’s goal is to highlight the decades of infection prevention throughout the 50 years by the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) and inspire the next generation of IPs to join the fight.
With the breakout of the COVID-19 pandemic, both healthcare workers and the community became more aware of the importance of good infection control practices.
